Financial Advisor

Tate began his career with Heartland Credit Union in 2010, working as a Member Service Officer.  After rising up to positions of Assistant Branch Manager and Branch Manager, he was named the Financial Advisor with Heartland Financial Services in March 2015.  Tate has obtained his series 7 and 66 licenses, as well as state insurance licenses.  In April 2017, he earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(tm) certification.  In July 2018, he was recognized by the Springfield Business Journal as a Forty Under 40 recipient.  Tate specializes in getting to know his clients, understanding their needs and goals, and designing customized plans to address all aspects of their financial well-being.

A native of Springfield, Tate graduated from Sacred Heart-Griffin and achieved his bachelor's degree from the University of Dayton and Master's degree from Eastern Illinois University, where he met his wife, Danielle.  Outside of his practice, Tate strives to make Springfield a great place to live and work.  He is currently the President of the Rotary Club of Springfield-South, serves as Treasurer for the Springfield Jaycees, sits on the Board of Trustees for Brother James Court, and is a member of the National Customer Service Association.  When is not working or volunteering, he can be found spending time with Danielle and their two dogs, Ryken and Ragnar, or out on the links, practicing his golf game.
